Geoff Hohwald, who learned to play from John Hickman, has been collecting banjo breaks from other banjo players for over 35 years and has an interest in what is referred to as "head turning licks". These are licks that you would hear at a bluegrass festival that would stop you in your tracks. Geoff has arranged the bluegrass standards in Banjo Songs with several breaks for each song, including lots of up the neck arrangements with "head turning licks" inserted here and there.
