| | In this lesson by Peter Vogl we will learn how and when to use the Mixolydian mode. The Mixolydian mode is primarily used when playing over a dominant chord. A dominant chord is a major chord with a flat 7, such as G7. We'll look at what chords and progressions lend themselves to using the Mixolydian mode to develop solos. This is a concept that applies to lead guitar for rock, blues, and jazz. We've included a couple jam tracks so you can practice this new concept.
